The excursion will start visit to the Archealogical park of Neapolis (from Greek “new city”) that hosts the majority of classical monuments of Greek and Roman Syracuse, such as the Greek theatre, the Roman amphitheater, the Latomie with the Ear of Dyonisius and Cordary’s cave, the Ara of lerone and The Church of San Nicolò ai Cordari. We will then visit the Ortygia Island, the heart of Syracuse, and in particular The Arethusa Source and the Duomo square (with its irregular shape and surrounded by some beautiful baroque palaces, the Beneventano del Bosco Palace, the Senate Palace and the Saint Lucia church). Free lunch.

After lunch (that is not included), the tour continues by visiting Noto, a unique town for Sicilian Baroque style, wich was declared to be a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The town of Noto is a true “open air museum”, where it will be possible to enjoy the walk along the main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and admire the many palaces and churches that are together known as the “stone garden”.
